Lake Samish Remodel 2014
Complete gut, addition and rebuild of this classic homeowner built star of the 60s. A stairwell addition allowed relocation of the stairs over to one side of the living room, freeing up the central floor area. The 2nd floor was pulled back into a loft configuration and the wood beams used as collar ties were replaced with much lower profile steel members to open up the interior, highlighting one of the unique features of A frames - the extremely high ceilings. The entire interior of the structure was sandblasted to remove a variety of color schemes and multiple layers of paint, and beautiful new finishes completed the makeover. Radiant heat, new lighting and wiring, new plumbing, cabinets, kitchen, bathrooms, windows and siding.
